Payment must be made prior to ASIAL event or before your goods can be shipped.

Three payment methods are available:
• Credit/Debit Card - ASIAL uses a secured payment gateway via PayPal; (only payment method accepted for events), a surcharge applies to credit card payments (see table below).
• EFT; BSB 012405, Acct. No. 231063543
• Cheque (must be made payable to “Australian Security Industry Association Ltd”)

Delivery (for applicable items)

Magazine subscriptions will begin with the next available issue. The postage and shipping fee within Australia, and for international orders, is included in the cost of the item. Please choose the correct item in the store, based upon your location, to ensure postage is included

Cancellations and Refunds

For Industry Briefing bookings, cancellations must be received in writing at least 2 working days prior to the commencement of the event. No refund will be given for cancellations made within 2 working days of an event.
For all other events, written cancellation is required no later than 21 days prior to the events in order to receive a refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after this time.
Corporate, Provisional Corporate, Associate and Affiliate Membership application fees include a $199 non-refundable administration fee.
The Individual Membership application fee includes a non-refundable administration fee of $36.
Individual Recognition Membership application fees (MASIAL, FASIAL, AFASIAL) include a non-refundable administration fee of $66.
For product purchases, refunds will only be made if an item is faulty or damaged and returned within 14 business days of receipt in the original packaging and with proof of purchase.
For downloadable products, no refund will be given as the product is immediately available after purchase. Please ensure you have assessed the suitability of a product for your purposes prior to purchase.

Cessation of Membership


A Member may at any time by giving written notice to the Chief Executive Officer, resign their Membership of the Association but shall continue to be liable for any Annual Subscription and all arrears due and unpaid at the date of resignation and for all other monies due to the Association and in addition for any sum not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) for which there is liability as a Member of the Association under Rule 7 of the Association’s Constitution.

Once your Membership is cancelled, you will be removed from the Register of Members. Only a person named on the Membership (i.e. Duly Appointed Representative or another authorised person) may request the resignation of a Membership. Membership fees, once paid and processed, are not refundable. However ASIAL will consider refund requests that are made in writing to the Accounts Department in the following circumstances:

1. Where an error has been made by the banking facility which results in an overpayment being made;
2. Where ASIAL makes an error during application processing;
3. Where application is refused by ASIAL;
4. Under exceptional circumstances. All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis and the decision by ASIAL is final.

Inability to pay debts

Any Member who shall become bankrupt or insolvent or execute an assignment of their property for the benefit of creditors and any Member being a corporation who shall go into compulsory or voluntary liquidation save for the purposes of reconstructions, shall upon such bankruptcy, insolvency, execution, assignment or liquidation cease to be a Member unless such Member can satisfy the Board that their inability to pay debts arose from misfortune and that no discreditable conduct can be imputed to them.

Through our social media channels, ASIAL aims to provide an interactive, accessible hub for security professionals to share news, views, insights and updates on security related matters.

Social Media Terms of Use Policy

Participants on ASIAL’s social media channels are expected to treat each other with respect and courtesy. ASIAL does not accept online bullying, harassment, or trolls. Posts that are deemed as inappropriate or as spam will be removed.

All users must comply with ASIAL’s Social Media Terms of Use policy. If you choose to view, post or comment on, or otherwise use any social media channels of ASIAL, you will be taken as having agreed to follow the Terms of Use set out below. Please read them carefully.

Use of ASIAL’s social media channels

You agree to only use ASIAL’s social media channels for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict the use and enjoyment of the channel, by any other person. This includes avoiding any conduct which is unlawful, or which may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person. To always treat other people using the social media channels with respect and courtesy.
Not to use the social media channels to defame, libel, insult, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or attack anyone.
Not to post any material that is offensive, obscene, vulgar or violent.
Not to post any material that vilifies or discriminates against any particular gender, religion, sexual preference, age, disability, marital or domestic status, race/ethnicity, criminal record or political opinion.
Not to post any material that is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading including to not impersonate or falsely represent any other person or organisation.
Not to post any material that you do not have a legal right to post (for example, material that infringes the copyright or other intellectual property rights of another person or material which is confidential).
Not to post any material that advertises, offers, or promotes anything of a commercial nature (for example any material which may breach the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)).
Not to post any material or encourage any conduct that would constitute a criminal offence or give rise to civil liability or is otherwise illegal or unlawful.
To protect your personal privacy and that of others by not posting any personal information (eg names, email or private addresses, phone numbers, photographs) relating to yourself or anyone else.
Not to deliberately disrupt discussions through inflammatory or off-topic messages (eg trolling).
Not to post irrelevant or excessively long material.
If you breach these terms of use we may, in our sole discretion remove any material you have submitted; block you from using ASIAL’s social media channels; report your conduct to the owner of the relevant social media platform and/or to any appropriate law enforcement authorities; or take any other action, including legal action, which we deem appropriate.
